Most new members found club through website, same as last couple of years.

Regular Saturday and Sunday rides on the road and regular Wednesday night MTB rides.

Biggest highlight of the year saw Paul Whittaker win the MTB Trans Wales for Vets. Held over 7 days and over 48 hours riding, Paul won by 19 seconds !!! Plus the best write up for the website I’ve seen so far…

Derek Hodgins continues to win, too many results to list
Dunc won National Clarion RR champs with Geoff 2nd
Dan Moores rode to Australia !!! Plus many more big rides...
Doug Clark won USA National Triathlon Champs for his age group.
Will Sanderson won 10 mile 10 series TT
Darren won the SCCC 25 mile champs on J2/9 Cheshire
Geoff won SCCC Hill Climb on Cat & Fiddle
National Clarion track champs held at Manchester Velodrome
Good road races, Soens, Darley moor, Oulton Park (3), CDNW, etc

Easter Meet at Buxton in 2012, Stockport to organise, see Dunc if interested in helping out. People needed…

Julian Mortel still taking bookings for Italian Clarion. Training rides in Italy and to see pro races etc. Set up for both mtb and road. See http://italianclarion.com/

11th-18th March Training camp 11th see end of Paris-Nice & 17th sees Milan San Remo

Martin doing excellent work with the website, loads of results / reports from people. Also the setting up of the Forum and Messages board. Great success.

SCCC organised events

YHA weekend to Ilam, road ride (National Clarion) & MTB weekends to Scotland and the Lakes in July. Also the trip the Youlgreave. All very well attended.

Clubruns from Hazel Grove on Sundays and Unicorn on Saturdays. All going well.

Xmas lunch was at the Lamb Inn, Hayfield in 2011. Well attended by both road and off road riders.
 
MTB Wednesday night rides & weekly club night at the Arden Arms, Stockport.

Club 10 series and hill climb. Won by Will and Geoff.
 
Competing in many road races, time trial, crits, MTB, trailquest, cyclocross events, and track events.

Thanks must go to all the helpers at the club 10 series.

Neither Duncan nor Darren could attend this years regional AGM.

6.2 CTT

Derek reported on the CTT meeting. The main topic that arose was the increase of another £1 for riders at club 10’s. Many clubs are disputing this.

8. Any Other Business

8.1 Club Subscriptions for 2012 to remain the same apart from any new member (Road or MTB) will get a £10 intro fee (for 1 year only)

8.2 SCCC Christmas lunch will be held on Sunday 15th Jan at the Lamb Inn, Hayfield. A good place for both Mtb and road. This will incorporate the Prize Presentation for 2011. Also we will have our club photo taken here for the Cycling Weekly Clubteam. As many members in club jersey to attend.

8.3 Prize Presentation 2011 to be held as above in 8.2

8.4 Club 10’s. Will promoting them again. Stay on Monday evenings on J2/1.

Marshall points 500x2  For 2012 we are to have the same volunteer basis on the website. Just let Martin Pigott know what date you would like to time keep & marshall. We plan to split our club 10’s Manchester Wheelers. Ie we would run 5 or 6 and then Wheelers would do the others. This will give more marshals / time keepers for events. Dates and more details to be arranged.

8.5 An off road champs to be introduced. Mark mtb@stockport-clarion.org.uk suggested the Hit the North event on 4th Feb 2012. Get your entries in!!!!!

8.6 SCCC in Pictures on website. A good success, if your pic is not there, email one to Martin Pigott website@stockport-clarion.org.uk

8.7 25 champs for 2012 use as part of M&D champs. The same as 2011

8.8 Club track bike available !!!!! Small size.

8.9 Club official correspondence will continue as follows…

a) Newsletter .seen as not needed with Website, pass any news/info to Martin to include it.
b) Boots and Spurs from National Clarion, twice a year.
c) Minutes of meeting to be posted on website & posted to all without a computer.
d) Emails, texts (for Merlin, Tony Lee) , updates etc

8.10 New Club Clothing from Champion Systems now available. Contact Dunc for your order.

8.11 Personal Record Sheets. Get to Duncan ASAP.

8.12 Cycling weekly clubteam. Duncan & Oliver to sort info for this. Also the club picture will take place on Sunday 15th Jan at the Xmas Lunch. All to wear your SCCC top!!!!!

8.14 Proposal for Clubman, Clubwoman, & section of the year.
The nominations for 2011 will be Martin Pigott and Carolyn Hume.

8.15 The 2012 Easter Meet will be at Buxton. Stockport organising. Please let Dunc know if you can help out.

8.16 Tameside Crit. Races and training. Thursday nights. Need 4 races to marshall, we need 4 people at all 4 events Will Wright organiser. Only open to 2/3/4 cats !!! SCCC happy to do 4 events as we did in 2011. Dunc to contact Will Wright.

8.17 SCCC still to affiliate with BC, CTC, CTT, M&DTTA, M&DLCA for 2012.

8.19 Merlin – Manchester Museum ride 26th Feb 2012 – Family Ride. More details to appear on website.

8.20 SCCC to set up a terms and conditions for Stockport members for weekends away, to be posted on the website. This will make sure anyone booking with SCCC for weekends away will have to follow the terms and conditions of the place they are staying. By signing the membership form, members accept these terms and conditions.

8.21 Clubruns to LEAVE the Rising Sun at 09.30 on Sundays. The “A” run lead by Darren Reynolds will meet every week. The “B” run will meet same time same place every FIRST Sunday on the month lead by Dave Armstrong or other “B” run riders.

8.22 Julian Mortel is organising training rides in Italy. A few members interested in the trips. Tour of Lombardy in late Sept and other rides in October.
