I’m the only one daft enough to travel 60miles to their first event of the season.

It turned out to be quite a culture shock (forgotten how hard you have to try), 18k on a lumpy course with a head wind finish but at least the sun was shining and it was dry so I rode my disc wheel.

Last year I won this event on standard (on age handicap) but this time I could only get equal 4th place. Len Grayson did +9min 38sec I did +9min 4sec in a time of 29m.02sec (28m.26sec last year).

My legs were good and I won £15 in age group & enjoyed the event.
