National Hill Climb, The Rake, Ramsbottom

October 28th 2012

Ian rode a 3.17 which is a PB over last years open event on the Rake by 12 seconds.

Ramsbottom does not mean Sheeps Bum, but Garlic Valley. "Rams" is an old Lancashire word for garlic and the "bottom" refers to the bit at the lower end of the sides of a hill. In Ramsbottom's case, the sides of the valley up THE RAKE are 25% or 1 in 4.

Ian will add something more sensible when he gets around to it.
