Manx 100- what an event.
Fantastic course- epic cannot adequately describe the route which was crammed with entertaining descents, challenging climbs and did include about 2 miles of flat stuff. 
The weather gods were not kind- dry for about 2 hours then driving horizontal rain with mist, wind gusting 45 mph and about 4 degrees C on the tops.
After a crash on the first long descent and some "bonus miles" from missing one of the markers I was struggling to make the cut offs and bailed at 100km- still one of the hardest days out on the bike.
Mark McPhillips and Paul Whittaker both did fantastic rides coming in 4th and seventh in the 100 miles which included over 5000m of climbing.
thanks to David Reilly who supported us on the ride and to Nigel Morris from Manx MTB and his team of helpers who made this such an enjoyable event. 
Just need to go back next year to finish off the 100miles...
